Tiger Eye Rough...

Click to enlarge - this photo showing - Tiger Eye rough samples of patterns and color as it is widely used for cutting spheres or slabbing for cabochons in jewelry making and or carving. Select Grade A variegated Tiger Eye, yellow-golden brown in color to slab or for carving will make you some fantastic cabs for jewelry. Most of these pieces of tigereye are able to be cut bu a 6inch trim saw and available for jewelry making. < - - This top Grade Bulk Tiger Eye rough...mined in south Africa, features a definite grain or fibrous mineral structure of crocidolite which creates the chatoyance (an effect that makes the light appear to dance across the stone or one that may appear dull and lifeless if not oriented properly). Successful cutting lays within the ability of the artist or cutter's skill to orient the fibers within the tiger's eye to capture the beauty of the stone. For the best final polish we recommend using cerium oxide, tin oxide, or diamond.

To ensure availibility of your item, order as early as possible! This material is select grade A from a couple of old estates that obtained this material back in the 70's - 80's. This mixed collection has yielded some great specimens of rich golden tiger's eye an excellent cutting rough for tumbling, carving, sphere making or slabbing for cabochons in jewelry making etc.
